Community and Drive-Thru Pantry Days Page Content The new Free Application for Federal Student Aid is now available. Independence Day Holiday: On Thursday, July 4, all Dallas College offices will be closed and classes will not be held. The student call center will also be closed. We will reopen Friday, July 5. Thanks to Dallas College and North Texas Food Bank, community members can access free food on campus during “Community Pantry” and “Drive-Thru Pantry” days. There is no need to register for either event. Drive-Thru Pantry Drive-Thru Pantry days are when community members can drive through campus and pick up free groceries, including fresh produce and milk. Drive-Thru Pantry is first come, first served. The locations for Drive-thru Pantry Days will be announced in the calendar listing. Tips for Using the Drive-Thru Pantry Arrive early to ensure you get some of the fresh produce available from the North Texas Food Bank. You must have a vehicle to pick up groceries. Drive-Thru Pantry participants are required to share their family size to receive food. No proof is necessary; the process is a self-declaration. Read more about how to receive food. Community Pantry Fridays are Community Pantry Days, which means the food pantries based on campus are open to everyone (not just students) to shop for free!
