Dallas College Social Media Community Guidelines
At Dallas College, we value open communication, connection, and the vibrant conversations that happen on our social media channels. Our platforms are spaces for engagement, inspiration, and sharing stories that highlight the impact of education in our community. To ensure a positive and respectful environment, we ask all participants to follow these Community Guidelines:
1. Be Respectful
Treat others with kindness and respect. We do not tolerate hate speech, harassment, personal attacks, or disrespectful language toward individuals or groups. Content that is discriminatory, explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate will not be tolerated and will be removed.
2. Stay On Topic
Keep your comments relevant to the post and the purpose of our social media channels. Off-topic remarks, spam, or unrelated self-promotion may be removed.
3. Protect Privacy
Do not share personal information, including phone numbers, student IDs, or other private data in public comments. If you need assistance with a personal matter, please contact us via Direct Message (DM) or through official communication channels.
4. Report Misconduct
If you encounter inappropriate behavior or content on our channels, please report it to us immediately via Direct Message (DM) or email us at SocialTeam@DallasCollege.edu
5. Content Moderation Rights
Dallas College reserves the right to remove, hide, or report comments that violate these guidelines or any other guidelines or policies of Dallas College. Repeated violations may result in users being blocked or banned from our platforms.
6. Crisis Communication
In times of emergency or crisis, we will use our social media channels to share official updates. Please avoid spreading unverified information.
