Student Support Services & Resources Provided by Dallas College and Educational Partnerships

Academic Resources

  • Dual Credit Advisors – available at each Dallas College campus, dual credit advisors register students for their classes and provide additional information and support. For general information and concerns, students and faculty can also reach out to DualCreditECHSSupport@dcccd.edu
  • Navigate – Mobile app and website (dcccd.navigate.eab.com; Google Chrome only) to assist students on their journey. Navigate will help students quickly find their academic requirements, connect with college resources and help students stay on top of important dates and deadlines.
  • Tutoring - Tutoring is available to all Dallas College students online through eCampus. Each Dallas College campus has an eCampus community where students can access online tutoring.
  • Library - Computers, virtual reference services, online access to all databases and electronic resources, virtual research instruction, interlibrary loans, research guides, and citation help.

Support Services & Departments

  • Career Services - job listings, individual career counseling, computerized career guidance programs, résumé help, mock interviewing, career fairs, and career resource library.
  • DART Student Pass - Credit students enrolled in six or more credit hours (for the Fall or Spring semesters) and three or more credit hours (for Summer semester) are eligible to fill out a DART GoPass request form for a free DART Student Pass.
  • Disability Support Services - variety of accommodations for students with disabilities or special requirements, including sign language interpreting, reader/scribe services, use of assistive technology, loan of specialized equipment, and providing large-print materials.
  • Food Pantries - On-campus food pantries are currently closed due to COVID-19, but Dallas College partners with the North Texas Food Bank to provide a mobile pantry that delivers fresh produce and other food items.
  • My Community Services - A free online directory to help students find the resources they need. Students can search for free or reduced-cost services like medical care, food, job training and more.
  • Student Discounts - Occasionally, vendors will offer students and employees discounts on merchandise, services, events and other things. Students can login to the student Sharepoint site and find what discounts are currently available.

Health, Wellness and Safety Services

  • CARE Team - The CARE Team was created to accept referrals regarding individuals in distress, struggling with basic needs, experiencing unexpected crises or whose behavior raises concerns about their well-being or that of others. The CARE Team also addresses behaviors or mental, emotional or psychological health conditions that may be disruptive, harmful or pose a direct threat or risk to the health and safety of the community.
  • Title IX and Sexual Misconduct - If you believe you or someone you know has been subjected to sexual misconduct by Dallas College faculty or staff, or by a student of or visitor to Dallas College, you may report this misconduct to the Title IX coordinator at the appropriate campus and/or to campus or local police.
  • RAVE Guardian – Students are enrolled in email notifications through Dallas College's emergency alert system, RAVE, but they can also opt in for calls or text messages. Also, RAVE Guardian app includes the ability to call Dallas College police through the app, a virtual escort for users who may be walking to their cars alone, and more.

Dual Credit-Specific Resources

  • Dual Credit Orientation - Self-paced, online modules designed to help students familiarize themselves with tools to transition into the college learning environment. Each module provides students with important information regarding our dual credit programs including resources, policies, and tips for success.
  • Welcome Packet - A downloadable, printable document that includes information on student expectations, getting ready for online learning, keys for success, and how to check grades, and student resources.
  • Dual Credit Resources - Differences between high school and college, how online study is different, starting right with online courses, what you can expect of instructors, how parents can help, online tools and resources.
  • Virtual Engagement Workshops – online workshops for dual credit students on topics such as advocating for themselves, time management, balancing stress, preparing for finals, and their next steps after college (Dallas College graduation application, transfer options, scholarships and financial aid)

Online Tools & Resources

  • Ready for Day One - This resource helps ensure students are ready for the first day of class. Learn about Technology Basics (technology requirements, your student account, online tools), Prepare for Success (online vs. Face-to-face, tips for success, student resources), and Class Essentials (your learning materials, get to know your instructor, the syllabus).
  • Student Email - All students receive a Dallas College email through Microsoft Outlook they can use to communicate with faculty, staff, and other students.
  • Microsoft Office - All students have access to Office 365, no installation required. With Office 365, students can take advantage of Office tools from anywhere with an internet connection and a web browser. Students can also install up to 5 copies of Microsoft Office software on a home computer and up to five mobile Office copies.
  • eCampus - Students utilize eCampus to access their courses and other online resources, including tutoring.  
  • eConnect - Students utilize eConnect to view their class schedule, check final grades, view unofficial transcripts (advising report), request transcripts, update contact information, request DART GoPass, and more.
  • Student News - Dallas College Student Blog with articles and communication on various topics.
