New Student Orientation for Dallas Promise Scholars

Orientation introduces you to the Dallas College student experience. You’ll learn about services, meet fellow students, take a campus tour, discover engagement opportunities and more!

All new students are expected to attend on-campus orientation.

The sessions listed here are for class of 2024 high school seniors planning to attend Dallas College on the Promise scholarship. Information specific to Promise scholars will be presented. Additional dates, including evenings and Saturdays, are available for all new students.

While we recommend that students attend an orientation session at the campus where most of their classes will be held, you can attend on any campus that fits your schedule.

 
  • Friday, June 7: Eastfield, El Centro, Cedar Valley
  • Friday, June 21: Brookhaven, Eastfield, North Lake
  • Friday, June 28: El Centro, Mountain View, Richland
  • Friday, July 12: Eastfield, Mountain View, North Lake
  • Friday, July 19: Cedar Valley, North Lake, Richland
  • Friday, Aug. 2: Brookhaven, Mountain View, Richland
  • All sessions are 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Lunch is provided.
  • You are encouraged to bring your parents or other educational supporters.

Have questions about your eligibility or need help with the admissions steps? Email DC-DallasPromise@DallasCollege.edu.

These sessions are for graduating seniors from Dallas Promise eligible high schools who completed the Promise Path form, applied for admission to Dallas College by May 1 and complete a financial aid application by July 1. Deadline extended to Aug. 1.

Promise scholars must register for Fall classes by Aug. 1 to remain eligible for the Dallas College Promise Scholarship.
