Nina Alton

Nina Alton

Family and Community Services Coordinator, Resource Center (Dallas)

Nina Alton is a queer Arab American and currently working as the family and community services coordinator at Resource Center, a Dallas-based LGBTQ+ nonprofit. Alton previously worked in research at a gender-affirming clinic at Children’s Hospital and served as the co-chair of the hospital’s employee LGBTQ+ affinity network for almost two years. Alton is passionate about the health and well-being of their communities and reclaiming the body as a source of liberation.


 
Katie K. Neff

Katie K. Neff

Professional Counselor, Dallas College Counseling and Psychological Services

Katie K. Neff is a licensed professional counselor supervisor who is a native of Dallas and an alumna of Dallas College. She attended Southern Methodist University where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and received her Master of Science in Counseling degree from Texas A&M-Commerce. Katie has been engaged in providing mental health services in various settings over the past decade through community outpatient, college counseling and K-12 counseling services. She previously served as behavioral intervention co-chair, vice president of the staff association and oversaw the SAMHSA Providing Hope in Suicide Awareness Education grant where students were impacted by the educational programming led by the team. She continues to directly assist those in her community who face barriers to services due to culture, healthy living options and finances by serving as a board member for the Dallas Metropolitan YMCA. Katie’s idea of self-care includes being immersed in the great outdoors, watching sports, soaking up the Dallas arts and food scene, maintaining a sense of humor and traveling with friends.


 
LaToya Payton

LaToya Payton, M.Ed., RCIS, LMRT

Program Director/Clinical Coordinator, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, Dallas College School of Health Science

LaToya Payton is the program coordinator of the Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program located on the El Centro Campus. She graduated from the El Centro Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program in 2001 and began her career as a cardiac catheterization lab technologist at Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital (BHVH). In 2004, she returned to the El Centro ICVT program as a clinical adjunct. During this time, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in public health from Kaplan University. She transitioned to a full-time faculty member and program coordinator of the ICVT program in 2016 and stayed on as a PRN technologist at BHVH.


 
Jessica Pearce

Dr. Jessica Pearce

OB/GYN and Director of Women's Health, HHM Health

Dr. Jessica Pearce is an OB/GYN physician who believes that high-quality and evidence-based health care should be accessible to everyone. She seeks to provide the best care to patients who may otherwise feel left out of traditional healthcare models. Previously in private practice, Dr. Pearce is passionate about sexual health issues, transgender health and preventing/reversing medical conditions with evidence-based lifestyle medicine. Dr. Pearce is board certified through the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ABOG), the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) and the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). She is also a diplomate and active member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
