Dallas College offers a wide variety of instrumental and vocal instruction in performance and theory through its Music courses. Ensembles may include jazz, band, brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, vocal ensemble, madrigal singers and chorus.

Various courses are offered in music theory, appreciation, fundamentals and foundations; MIDI (musical instrument digital interface); sight singing and ear training; commercial orchestration and music arranging. Applied Music courses provide private lessons for voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion, and for orchestral and rhythm sections.
