Following this pathway will help you earn an AS degree, which will increase your chances of transfer to bachelor’s-level programs at UNT. Although there may be several options to fulfill certain requirements for the associate’s degree, please note that this pathway lists the specific courses leading to this bachelor’s degree. You must receive a GPA of at least 2.00 on all college-level course work. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. SEMESTER 1 (Total Hours: 14)

• ENGL 1301 – Composition I This is a (CB 010) Core course. Must earn a grade of “C” or higher.
• EDUC 1300 – Learning Framework All college students with fewer than 12 semester credit hours of successful college credit (grade of “C” or above) must take a student success course in the first semester.
• MATH 2412 – Precalculus Math This is a (CB 020) Core course. Must earn a grade of “C” or higher and an overall grade point average of 2.5 is required by UNT. Prerequisites of MATH 1314 and MATH 1316, prior to enrolling in the course.
• CHEM 1411 – General Chemistry I This is a (CB 030) Core course. Prerequisite of MATH 1314, or equivalent academic preparation, prior to enrolling in the course. A grade of “C” or higher and an overall grade point average of 2.5 is required by UNT.

SEMESTER 2 (Total Hours: 14)

• ENGL 1302 – Composition II This is a (CB 010) Core course. A grade of “C” or higher is required by UNT.
• BIOL 1406 – Biology for Science Majors I This is a (CB 030) Core course. A grade of “C” or higher and an overall grade point average of 2.5 is required by UNT.
• CHEM 1412 – General Chemistry II A grade of “C” or higher and an overall grade point average of 2.5 is required by UNT.
• HIST 1301 – United States History I This is a (CB 060) Core course.

Students following this plan must complete all Foundation course requirements before enrollment in 3000 and 4000 level courses required for the major. Successful completion is based on achieving a C or better in each course and an overall 2.5 grade point average in these courses. The Foundation courses in this plan are BIOL 1710, 1720, 1760, 2041, 2042; CHEM 1410, 1420, 1430, 1440, 2370, 3210; MATH 1650 (equivalent Dallas College course numbers: BIOL 1406, 1407, 2421; CHEM 1411, 1412, 2423; MATH 2412).

• MATH 1710: Calculus I MATH 2413 may be taken at Dallas College and transferred to UNT.
• PHYS 1510/1530: General Physics I with Calculus + Lab PHYS 2425 may be taken at Dallas College and transferred to UNT to meet this degree requirement.
• BIOC 3621/3622: Principles of Biochemistry + Lab or BIOC 4540/4560: Biochemistry I + Lab Must earn a grade of “C” or higher.
