Police & Safety

Welcome From Chief Ruben Puente

I am honored and humbled to be selected as the next Chief of Police for the Dallas College System Police. On behalf of the people of our Police Department, I want to welcome you to our website. Dallas College Police are committed to providing safety and security best practices that will ensure the well-being of those that visit, work, study and live within the communities we serve.

Our police department is staffed with a diverse group of professionals who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Higher Education Policing. We understand the needs and goals the community college environment brings and look forward to serving you.

The challenges are many in today's changing environment and we ask for your partnerships in keeping our communities safe and secure. Our promise is to introduce nontraditional strategies and solutions that reflect modernized policing. There are new security technologies that will make a positive difference in our police responses to keep you safe. We ask for your feedback and suggestions for a better tomorrow.

Do not be strangers to our efforts as we are eager to get to know you. Call on us for information, security presentations and to answer questions when needed. We work for you.

Sincerely,
Chief Ruben Puente
