Step 1: File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  1. ​​​Get advice for filling out the FAFSA.

    ​Tip: Report your name and Social Security number exactly as they appear on your So​cial Security card when you fill out your admissions application and FAFSA.

    Tip: Your FAFSA is incomplete if you and/or your parents ​have not signed it with the FSA ID.

    Tip: Your campus cannot receive your FAFSA unless you put the schoo​l code on the FAFSA.

  2. Your campus will notify you when they receive your FAFSA.
  3. After you fill out the FAFSA, you may need to give us additional information or complete a process called Verification. You can find out what else we need you to do by looking at the Comments section of your FAFSA or the email you will get fro​m Federal Student Aid after you submit the FAFSA. Complete any requests for information as soon as you can. You must resolve all items to be eligible for funds.
  4. If you are selected for Verification, check your email to begin the process.​
