Apprenticeships?
We work with employers daily to create and run high-quality apprenticeship programs that help
people
practice new skills while earning portable, nationally recognized credentials at minimal cost.
Registered Apprenticeships (RAPs) are learn-and-earn programs that typically start with an employer, a job
and a salary.
Participants train while they work. Program length varies by occupation, but programs are a at least 1 year
(2000 work
hours) and 144 hours of classroom or self-paced training. Successful completers earn a Department of Labor
Registered
Apprenticeship certificate, and any industry-recognized credentials included for the occupation.
Most apprenticeship opportunities depend on the number of apprentice positions available with employers at a
given time.
However there are a few opportunities to enter apprenticeships by first becoming a regular student.
