Congratulations—this much-anticipated moment has finally arrived!

Dear Class of 2024 Graduates,

Congratulations! What a moment. You have worked hard while remaining resilient and now, we celebrate your accomplishments!

Please understand the weight of this achievement. You are not only changing your own life but also the lives of those around you. Give yourself credit for setting a goal and being determined to achieve it no matter the odds against you. Sure, you will face other trials in life. However, my hope is that you use your accomplishments at Dallas College as an example of your triumphs outshining your struggles.

As you celebrate, also recognize the positive impact you will have on your community, and never underestimate your ability to make a difference. You are part of the Dallas College legacy, while also building the legacy of your family and the communities where you live and work.

Dallas College graduates have gone on to become lawyers and surgical techs, dentists and chefs, firefighters, and judges. You are now part of our esteemed alumni, a shining representation of Dallas College in each space and community you enter. We are proud to see our graduates making an impact as entrepreneurs and at companies like Amazon, Frito-Lay, and the Dallas Mavericks. More importantly, we are proud of your dedication to this dynamic journey you’ve embarked upon.

No matter where life takes you next, remember that you are part of the Dallas College family, and our hearts and doors are always open to you. Keep in contact with those professors, coaches, and mentors who made a difference in your experience. We are here to cheer your continued success and can’t wait to hear how you’re changing the world.

On behalf of our Board of Trustees and the entire Dallas College team, congratulations and job well done!
