Lifelong Learning Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Senior Tuition Waiver?

Tuition Waivers are for Lifelong Learning students wishing to take credit classes for free. The tuition waiver covers up to six credit hours per semester* and will be applied at the time of class registration.

Do I qualify for the Senior Tuition Waiver?

To qualify you must be 65+ at the time of registration, have lived in Texas for 12 months, and must currently live in Dallas County with proof of residency. Waivers are intended for students who are no -degree seeking individuals.

How do I complete the Senior Tuition Waiver?

You must complete a credit application if you have never applied at Dallas College or if it has been more than 12 months since you enrolled in a credit class. You can apply online or stop by one of our campuses for assistance. If you have attended any college or university in the past, you will also need to complete a transcript waiver, available at the Admissions Office. You will also need a copy of a photo ID (or we can make one if you come in person).

Where can I find Lifelong Learning Courses?
