This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing International Business and Trade. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a certificate in International Business and Trade. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

The International Business and Trade Program prepares students to enter the global business space in a variety of areas like transportation, customer service, compliance and import and export. An International Business and Trade Certificate will expedite your entrance to the international arena. Courses that complete the International Business and Trade Certificate are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.

IBUS 1305 – Introduction to International Business and Trade

IBUS 1349 – International E-Commerce Systems

ENGL 1301 – Composition I This is a Core course. You must earn a grade of “C" or better.
