This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Cisco Networking Intern Skills Achievement Award. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn a Cisco Networking Intern Skills Achievement Award. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. This sequence is for students who wish to learn about design and installation of local area networks, and basic router configuration. Upon completion, you will have acquired the skills needed for employment in the networking industry as an intern. Courses that complete the Cisco Networking Intern Skills Achievement Award are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.

​​Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1301 or equivalent experience approved by designated Information Technology personnel​.
