This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing an Industrial Automation Occupational Skills Award. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Occupational Skills Award in Industrial Automation. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.
This award covers topics in DC, PLC, Robotics, and Soldering. The skills taught in these classes can be used to become a technician maintaining automated systems. All courses required for the certificate are applicable to the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Robotics and Industrial Automation and the Industrial Automation Certificate. Courses that complete the occupational skills award are noted below.
Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
