This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Real Estate Level I Certificate. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn the Real Estate Level I Certificate. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

The Real Estate Certificate program develops the basic skills for a real estate salesperson. All six courses are required by the Texas Real Estate Commission for Licensure. Courses that complete the Real Estate Certificate are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites, as long as the student completes the TSI waiver form prior to enrollment.

RELE 2301 – Law of Agency

RELE 1311 – Law of Contracts

RELE 1300 – Contract Forms and Addenda This is the capstone course for this award.

RELE 1319 – Real Estate Finance
