This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing PC Support. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Information Technology–Personal Computer Support. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official degree requirements.

The A.A.S. degree trains the student to troubleshoot software and hardware problems, implementing corrections where possible; to evaluate new software and hardware; to install hardware and software, including equipment assembly and diagnostics; and to assist in the development and presentation of training courses for users. The graduate will be qualified to provide support for personal computer users in a corporate environment. Course(s) may be substituted for ITSC 1401, BCIS 1405, or COSC 1301 for those who demonstrate current computer literacy. Courses that complete the degree, the Help Desk/User Support Technician (HC), Google IT Professional Skills Achievement Award (G) and A+ Occupational Skills Award (A+) are noted below.
