The guided pathway in Psychology combines psychology and sociology courses with core courses to complete the associate degree. An Associate of Arts degree in this pathway prepares you to transfer to a university to earn a bachelor's degree that opens the door to careers such as a psychometrist/clinician, psychiatric technician, caseworker, mental health technician, and many others. Due to the brain-based direction of psychology it is suggested that you complete a B.S. degree. However, a B.A. will also prepare you for graduate school and/or employment.

This is an example course sequence for students interested in Psychology. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an A.A. degree with a field of study in Psychology, which will increase your chances of transfer to National American University (NAU) to earn the Bachelor of Science in Terrorism and Counterterrorism Studies. Courses that complete the degree are noted below. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See the catalog for official degree requirements.

Visit www.national.edu to view more information about transferring to National American University. Speak with your success coach to choose courses that will help you to transfer to NAU.
