Emergency Medical Technician

​Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a rewarding, fast-paced medical field that can truly make a difference in people’s lives during their time of greatest need.

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is an entry-level certification that trains you to provide basic life support and emergency health care in settings such as an ambulance agency, hospitals, and fire departments.

​Joining the emergency health care team as an Emergency Medical Technician is a rewarding fast-paced career that truly makes a difference in people’s lives during their time of greatest need.

The EMT certificate includes classroom instruction, hospital rotations with emphasis on emergency department experience and emergency ambulance experience.

You will receive first-rate instruction in basic life support, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automatic external defibrillation, p​hysical assessment, bandaging and splinting, traction splinting, spinal immobilization, airway management, oxygen therapy and other noninvasive procedures.
