Through our Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) in Machining, eligible individuals with Level 1 High-Functioning Autism can:
- Participate in Fast-Track 15-week hands-on training at Dallas College Eastfield Campus's Machining Lab
- Receive Specialized Training to become an Entry-level Machinist or Mill and Lathe CNC Operator
- Get access to UAA skills development staff for registration, enrollment and guidance through the program
- Have job placement that matches the inherently unique skill set of the Uniquely Abled in the manufacturing industry
- Eligible students can apply for financial assistance with tuition
