I'm Edinson Arenas, owner of Azteca Mexican candy, in Dallas, TX.

We make candy because we like doing it. We have fun doing it.
Azteca Mexican candy makes six different products here in Dallas and then we import some of our products.
We distribute 16 different candies through small restaurants or taquerias, to
supermarkets or distributors.

Best thing about the program will be people that you know, all the information they give you,
that they share with you.
I met another small business owner, she knows a lot of people in distribution.
So we started talking about the things that we could do.
We are about to start exporting our products to Colombia.
We will make a great partnership.

It's a way to grow their business and to write that business plan and to be disciplined and if you do that, and you have a good idea, and you're going to work hard. You're going to succeed here and so that's why I'm excited about it.

We service the local farmers and ranchers.
We supply items that they need on a regular basis for feeding and watering their animals.
I want my company to grow an I want to cultivate my people into leaders so that they can take what they know, and teach other people and keep the cycle going.
Before the program, I was not confident in decisions that I made on a day-to-day basis.

It gave me the steps to get there, so now I have a plan for growth.
Are revenues have increased 26% since I graduated and we're on target to double our sales for the next year.
