ENERGY STAR

ENERGY STAR is the United States government supported program for energy efficiency that certifies products, buildings, and equipment. Dallas College utilities ENERGY STAR to guide its procurement and building operations practices.

International Code Council (ICC)

The International Code Council (ICC) provides information, tools, and resources for organizations to advance building safety solutions. Dallas College uses the ICC codes for energy conservation and green building to help guide new construction and building operations maintenance. The International Energy Efficiency Code (IECC) and International Green Construction Code (IgCC) are updated every few years to help organizations improve building safety solutions for energy and green building.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action Manager

The SDG Action Manager enables Dallas College to track its progress on each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC)

Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC) is a nonprofit organization that provides learning resources, procurement guides, and key performance standards to support the advancement of procurement in areas of environmental purchasing ​and supply chain development.

United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

The USGBC-LEED standards help guide equity, energy and environmental design standards for buildings, campuses and neighborhoods. Dallas College has seven certified LEED buildings and uses the LEED checklist in 8 areas to help guide new construction and building operations and maintenance. The 8 areas of LEED are:
