This capstone explores the qualities, skills, and mindset that define an effective STEM leader. Students will identify the traits and values necessary for leadership success in STEM fields, laying a foundation for their journey as influential leaders. Students will also correlate and adapt these to serving as STEM Leaders at their campus.​

Focused on communication strategies, this capstone teaches students how to convey STEM Institute programs and resources effectively, engage audiences, and foster teamwork. Effective communication is emphasized as a core skill for any STEM leader.

In this hands-on capstone, students put their leadership skills into action by engaging with their peers through hands-on activities, simulating exhibitor engagement and recruitment. The focus is on creating an inclusive and motivating environment that promotes interest in STEM.

This capstone highlights the importance of mentorship, guiding students in developing skills to support and mentor others in STEM. Emphasis is placed on building meaningful relationships that inspire and help others thrive in their STEM journeys.
