Here are the steps to update your emergency alerts email address or add a phone number to receive text messages and/or phone calls for Dallas College Emergency Alerts. Use this same procedure if you want to tell us that you do not want to receive alerts (opt out):
- Log in to the
Dallas College Emergency Alerts site using your eConnect login ID and password. (You can also get to the site from the main eConnect menu. Select "Dallas College Emergency Alerts Information.")
- To add a phone number and/or email address, click on the corresponding "ADD" button. If you wish to test your phone number and/or email address, click on the yellow "TEST" button.
- If you wish to edit a phone number and/or email address, click on the corresponding edit button
(pencil icon).
- To opt out of specific campus alerts, click the "Opt-In Lists" tab and uncheck the subscribe checkbox to stop receiving alerts from the desired campus.
When finished editing, click on the "EDIT" button to the right of your name and email address on the main screen. Click on the green “SAVE” button — you’re done!
Opt-In Instructions for Those Outside Dallas College
Students and employees wishing to add a family member to Dallas College Alerts may do so by adding the individual’s contact information to their RAVE account by logging into their account and adding additional email addresses and phone numbers to their account.
Individuals who are not currently a student or employee of Dallas College may opt-in to text message alerts for all locations.
To sign up, send a text message with "DallasCollegeAlerts" to 226787. Standard text messsage rates from your carrier will apply.
You should receive the following message after signing up:
Welcome to Dallas College Alerts. You will now receive all text emergency messages from the College. Data Rates May Apply. Reply STOP to cancel messages.
You can unsubscribe from the updates at any time by sending a message with "STOP" to 226787.
Note: The SMS opt‐in feature sends
all Dallas College alerts messages. Please verify the emergency messages are for your location before acting.
