SEMESTER-BY-SEMESTER MAP FOR FULL-TIME STUDENTS

All plans can be modified to fit the needs of part-time students. This is not an official degree plan. See catalog for official degree requirements. You must receive a GPA of at least 2.00 on all college-level course work. Students must earn at least 25 percent of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by one of the seven DCCCD colleges awarding the degree. You will need to apply for the associate’s degree at your college. Contact your advisor for information.

SEMESTER 1 (Total Hours: 15)

  • BMGT 1327 – Principles of Management
  • HRPO 2301 – Human Resources Management
  • HRPO 2307 – Organizational Behavior
  • BMGT 2382 – Cooperative Education-Business Administration and Management, General
  • ENGL 1301 – Composition I This is a (CB 010) Core course. Must earn a grade of “C” or higher.

SEMESTER 2 (Total Hours: 15)

  • MATH 1342 – Elementary Statistical Methods This is a (CB 020) Core course. Must earn a grade of “C” or higher.
  • BUSI 1301 – Business Principles
  • Elective – Must take a three (3) hour college-level course in Business, Management or General Education.
  • MRKG 1311 – Principles of Marketing
  • ACCT 2301 – Principles of Financial Accounting.

SEMESTER 3 (Total Hours: 15)

  • ENGL 1302 – Composition II This is a (CB 010) Core course. Must earn a grade of “C” or higher.
  • Elective – Must take a three (3) hour college-level course in Business, Management or General Education.
  • ACCT 2302 – Principles of Managerial Accounting
  • ECON 2301 – Principles of Macroeconomics This is a (CB 080) Core course.
  • CHOOSE ONE:
    • SPCH 1311 – Introduction to Speech Communication OR
    • SPCH 1315 – Public Speaking These are (CB 090) Core courses.

SEMESTER 4 (Total Hours: 15)

  • BUSI 2301 – Business Law
  • PSYC 2301 – General Psychology This is a (CB 080) Core course.
  • ECON 2302 – Principal of Microeconomics This is a (CB 080) Core course.
  • POFT 2312 – Business Correspondence and Communication
  • Humanities/Fine Arts Core Elective – This is a (CB 040 or CB 050) Core course. There are several options to fulfill this requirement. See your academic advisor for a specific list.

SEMESTER-BY-SEMESTER MAP FOR FULL-TIME STUDENTS

Students must enroll in the Columbia College Associate to Bachelor’s (A2B) program before the end of the 2018-19 academic year to lock in the 2018-19 academic catalog. All DCCCD credit transfers to Columbia College as Lower Level Credit. It is best to apply to Columbia College a full semester before you plan to transfer. It will help if you submit a copy of this pathway with your application.
