Students must earn at least 25 percent of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by one of the seven DCCCD colleges awarding the degree.   • MATH 1314 – College Algebra This is a (020) Core course. Must earn a grade of “C” or higher.
  • ARTS 1316 – Drawing I
  • SPCH 1311 – Introduction to Speech Communication This is a (090) Core course. There are several options to fulfill this requirement. See your academic advisor for a specific list.
  • ARTS 2356 – Photography I

  • PHYS 1401 – College Physics I This is a (030) Core course.
  • Studio Lighting Elective Studio Lighting Elective: North Lake recommends ARTS 2311 Design III (Photo Business); Richland recommends ARTS 2389 Academic Cooperative (Studio Lighting). OPTION: A student interested in Photography but unable to take either of the lighting classes needs to take PHO 210 – Introduction to Studio Lighting at East Texas A&M University and take any ARTS 2311 Design III (Advanced Photography) or any ARTS class as an elective.
