Welcome to Self-Service for Students: How to Request a Change to Your Program of Study! This is the eighth video in the Self-Service for Students series. Let's get started!
From the Welcome screen, click Student Planning. Click Go to My Program Progress.
If any red or yellow messages pop up in the top-right corner at any point while navigating around in Self-Service, make sure to read them and contact any departments listed.
If you're interested in a different program, click View a New Program. Find the program you're interested in, and click the circle to the left of the program name. Click View Program.
A message appears on the screen: "You are not enrolled in this program. The display of this program information is temporary and it will be removed as you leave or refresh this page."
This allows you to compare the classes you've already taken to those required in the new program you're interested in.
Scroll down a little bit.
In the Requirements section, a red bar means that you have not completed all the items in that area of study. A green bar means that you have completed all requirements in that area of study. You can click Show Details on any red or green bar to view more details about those required courses.
For example, if I want to switch to this program, I have not completed all requirements for Math for Business & Social Sciences. So, if I click Show Details here, I can see that I will need to take Math 1324, and I must achieve a grade of C or higher.
Scrolling back up.
If you want to go ahead and change your program of study, click Student Planning. In the drop-down that appears, click Plan & Schedule. Click Advising. Click Request Change of Program.
Your success coach will contact you to discuss your request. You should also receive an email acknowledging that you submitted a Change of Program request.
And that's it! You now know how to request a change to your program of study!
If you want to return to the Welcome screen, click the Home icon in the menu bar along the left side of the screen. If you're finished in Self-Service, click Sign out in the upper right corner.
Thank you for watching!
