(DALLAS) — Dallas College is pleased to announce the appointment of Russ Pearlman as its new chief information officer (CIO), effective today.

A respected leader in information technology and cybersecurity, Pearlman is charged with shaping the college’s IT strategy and enhancing the digital infrastructure to complement learning for the 22nd century.

“As CIO, Pearlman now oversees the strategic direction of the school’s information technology services, ensuring that we continue to leverage innovative solutions to support our students, faculty and staff. Together, we will continue advancing our technological capabilities to better serve our community,” said Dr. Bradford Williams, Dallas College vice chancellor of operations.

Williams said Pearlman’s dedication to innovation and passion for education make him a perfect fit for Dallas College and its vision for the future.

“Russ brings extensive experience in technology leadership and a forward-thinking approach that aligns with our mission to support the vibrancy, growth and economic stability of the region and beyond,” Williams said.

Pearlman comes to Dallas College from Creighton University in Omaha, where he served in a similar capacity since 2019.

Pearlman holds two bachelor’s degrees: one in biology and one in computer science, as well as a master’s degree in computer science — all from Washington University in St. Louis. He also holds a law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
