Career Fairs

​Career fairs are held in the spring and fall semesters at multiple Dallas College campuses. Career fairs give employers the opportunity to actively recruit highly qualified students for positions within their organizations

Being a career fair participant will ensure that your organization is able to select top job applicants who are ready to take your organization to the next level.

Some reasons to participate in Dallas College career fairs:

• Diverse student body — We serve more than 65,000 students per semester from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and skill levels.
• Individual student interaction — Career fairs will allow your organization to interact with students on a one-on-one basis.
• Great marketing/advertising opportunity — At the career fairs, your organization will have the opportunity to pass out company literature, and your company name will be listed on the event page in Handshake.
• Expanded applicant pool — Former Dallas College students who have obtained four-year degrees, as well as other members of the community,are invited to attend the career fairs.
  

Types of Career Fairs

Regional All-Major Career Fairs

Our largest career fairs are held across multiple days and locations each Spring. These are open to companies across all industries with open positions aligned to Dallas College programs. Employers are required to have a Handshake account with open positions in order for registration to be approved.

Industry-Specific Career Fairs

Throughout the year, various programs within Dallas College host smaller, more targeted career fairs. Space at these fairs is very limited and reserved for employers who show a high level of engagement with our institution. If you would like to be considered for these types of events, we encourage you to connect with us on Handshake and reach out to the Employer Resource Center to learn ways you can engage with our students.

How to Sign Up

Registration for career fairs is managed through our career development platform, Handshake. Sign up for a Handshake account if you do not already have one. Once set up, you can create or join a company profile and choose to connect with Dallas College. From there, you’ll be able to browse and register for future career fairs as they become available.
