Nick was born and raised in Garland, Texas, by his parents from New York City — his mother from Brooklyn and his father from Manhattan. The cultural amalgamation of the Northeast and the South crafted a unique backdrop for his upbringing. Nick was not born into luxury, but his parents raised him with love, kindness and a deep sense of generosity, shaping his character and worldview.
Nick is a proud Dallas College Alumni and received his associate degree from Dallas College Brookhaven Campus, where he pitched two years on the baseball team before forgoing a scholarship at UT-Pan Am to finish his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Texas.
Recognized as a Top Texan Under 30 in 2016, Nick is committed to making a lasting impact on his community. As the director of social change at TangoTab, a company aimed at eradicating hunger, he led efforts that fed over 3 million people in need. TangoTab is a free mobile app that collaborates with over 100,000 restaurants nationwide, providing a person in need in the city every time an individual uses the app.
In response to the pandemic's impact on TangoTab in 2020, Nick launched Tango Charities, the organization's charitable arm. Tango Charities now spearheads efforts such as Feed The City, Cultivate Garden Programs and School Food Programs. Nick’s enterprises have helped feed over 6 million people in need. Over the past eight and a half years, Feed The City events have occurred in five countries, 14 states and 59 cities, with over 95,000 volunteers.
Aside from battling hunger, Nick founded That's Just Good, a company that organizes cause-driven team-building events. Launched in October 2020, That's Just Good has worked with local law firms, AT&T, Walmart, Dell, Intuit, Hilton, Deloitte and others.
In 2023, Nick launched his That’s Just Good Podcast, where he sits down with individuals from around the world, ranging from the Bay Area to NYC to Sri Lanka and everywhere in between, who are impacting their communities. Some of Nick’s guests include the 2021 TIME Kid of the Year, former NFL players and top TV/radio personalities.
Nick is working on a new, exciting project: his first children’s book, “Nico Makes A Difference." This endeavor reflects Nick's commitment to empowering younger generations to contribute positively to their communities. The book educates children about how to give back to their community, instilling values of kindness, generosity and civic responsibility from a young age. Nick believes reaching out to children through engaging and relatable stories can inspire them to make a difference, just as he continues to do through his life and work.
Nick lives by three mantras: In business, he urges others to "don't just think outside of the box; think as if there is no box at all." He strives to "be better than yesterday." Above all, he encourages everyone to "LIVE WITH PURPOSE."
