This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Associates Degree Nursing associate degree at the Brookhaven campus. This guided pathway does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Associate Degree Nursing. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. As of Fall 2022, a new nursing curriculum is expected to be in place. The Associate Degree Nursing Program is a four semester, 60 credit hour program leading to the Associate of Applied Sciences Degree. The program prepares graduates to be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN Examination to become licensed as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in Texas. Courses that complete the Degree are noted below.

West Coast University uses a Trimester system. There are three trimesters throughout the year and six total start dates (Spring I and II, Summer I and II, and Fall I and II). Each trimester is split into two eight-week terms. Students take either one or two courses per term. The calendar below shows the schedule for full-time students taking two courses per term.
