This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing International Business and Trade. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in International Business and Trade. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official degree requirements.

The International Business and Trade Program prepares students to enter the global business space in a variety of areas like transportation, customer service, compliance and import and export. Courses that complete the degree, the Import-Export Certificate (IE) and International Business and Trade Certificate (IB) are noted below.

SEMESTER 1

IBUS 1305 – Introduction to International Business and Trade (Course also applies to IE, IB)

BMGT 1327 – Principles of Management

MRKG 1311 – Principles of Marketing

ENGL 1301 – Composition I This is a Core course. You must earn a grade of “C" or better. (Course also applies to IB)

MATH 1324 – Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences This is a Core course. You must earn a grade of “C" or better.
