This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing a degree in Network Administrator and Support. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Computer Information Technology–Network Administrator and Support, with a Convergence Technology Specialization. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official degree requirements.
The A.A.S. degree is designed to provide education and training for individuals interested in developing their knowledge and skills as networking professionals. The program also provides preparatory training for a variety of industry certification examinations. Specialization tracks are also offered in CCNA, Unix/Linux, Microsoft, Security, and Virtualization/Cloud. Specialization tracks are offered ONLY at the colleges listed: Cedar Valley: CCNA, Microsoft (MTA and MCSE). El Centro: Convergence Technology, CCNA, Microsoft (MTA and MCSE), Security, Virtualization/Cloud. Mountain View: CCNA, Microsoft (MTA and MCSE). North Lake: CCNA, Microsoft (MTA and MCSE), Virtualization/Cloud. Richland: CCNA, Unix/Linux, Microsoft (MTA and MCSE), Security, Virtualization/Cloud. Courses that complete the degree also complete the Convergence Technology Intern Certificate (CI) and are noted below.
