This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing a Residential – Technician III Level II Certificate within the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology program. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn the Residential – Technician III Level II Certificate. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements. Courses that complete the certificate are noted below.

HART 1401 – Basic Electricity for HVAC Course is taught in a 5-week format.
HART 1403 – Air Conditioning Control Principles Course is taught in a 5-week format.
HART 1407 – Refrigeration Principles Course is taught in a 5-week format.
CHOOSE TWO:
- ENGL 1301 – Composition I This is a Core course. Must earn a grade of “C" or higher.
- SPCH 1311 – Introduction to Speech Communication This is a Core course.
- MATH Elective* This is a Core course. Must earn a grade of “C" or higher.
