The Small Animal Veterinary Assisting Certificate introduces students to the field of veterinary technology. Graduates may work in veterinary hospitals, animal shelters or kennel and boarding facilities, and students who successfully complete the Small Animal Assisting Certificate can apply all classes to the A.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official certificate requirements.

Students must apply and be accepted into the Veterinary Technology program before enrolling in any courses offered by the Veterinary Technology department. See ACTION ITEMS for additional information about application dates.
