This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Fashion-Apparel Design associate degree. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Fashion-Apparel Design. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 h​ours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official degree requirements.

The A.A.S. degree program in Fashion - Apparel Design addresses the following job skills: Fashion designers sketch clothing designs, conduct fittings and adjustments on prototypes, overseeing garment production to final manufacturing. They work for design and manufacturing firms and often open their own businesses. In a smaller firm, they have wider duties such as patternmaking and sewing, with more specialized niches in larger companies.

ENGL 1301 – Composition I This is a Core course. You must earn a grade of "C" or better.

  • MATH 1332 – Contemporary Mathematics (Quantitative Reasoning) This is a Core course. You must earn a grade of “C" or better. This course is recommended for first-time college students. OR
