This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Auto Body Technology. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Auto Body Technology. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. See catalog for official degree requirements.
The A.A.S. degree in Auto Body Technology introduces you to all facets of auto body repair and painting. Emphasis is placed upon the development of the necessary skills and knowledge required to function successfully in this industry. The program of study includes technical aspects of metal behavior combined with correct repair and refinishing procedures. Courses that complete the degree, the Auto Body Technology (TC2), Auto Body Shop Management (SM), Auto Body Metal Technician (MT), Auto Body Painter (PC) and the Custom Auto/Street Rod Fabrication (CA) Certificates are noted below.
