This Electrical Engineering pathway prepares you to enter a bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing Electrical Engineering. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Associate of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, which will increase your chances of transfer to Electrical Engineering at UTA. Students who transfer to UTA will not be core complete upon completion of this degree. This degree does not include all core course requirements. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours (15 hours) required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Note that a course cannot be transferred to UTA with a grade lower than “C". Courses that complete the degree are noted below. See catalog for official degree requirements.

MATH 2413 – Calculus I This is a Core course. A grade of “C" or better is required. Prerequisites of MATH 1314, MATH 1316, and MATH 2412, prior to enrolling in the course.
ENGR 1201 – Introduction to Engineering
ECON 2301 – Principles of Macroeconomics This is a Core course.
SEMESTER 1 ACTION ITEMS
- Meet with your success coach to confirm your academic and career goals by the end of the semester.
- Meet with your success coach to research your career options with an Electrical Engineering degree.
- NOTE: UTA guarantees admission with a 2.50 GPA with no grade below a "C" provided the student has met other admissions requirements.

ENGR 2105 – Electrical Circuits I Laboratory To register for ENGR 2105, you must be concurrently enrolled in ENGR 2305.
