This is an example course sequence for students interested in pursuing the Construction TechnologyConstruction Technology Occupational Skills Award. It does not represent a contract, nor does it guarantee course availability. Following this pathway will help you earn an Occupational Skills Award in Construction Technology. Courses from this certificate may apply to the related A.A.S. degree. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. The program is designed to develop the hands-on skills and technical knowledge necessary so that a graduate may advance in career paths appropriate to their own interests and abilities. Courses that complete this Occupational Skills Award are noted below.

Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.

CNBT 1302 Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems in Construction I
CNBT 1311 – Construction Methods and Materials I
CNBT 2310 Commercial/Industrial Blueprint Reading This is the capstone course for this award.

SEMESTER 1 ACTION ITEMS
