By law in Texas (Texas Education Code, § 51.9192, Subchapter Z), all students under the age of 22 attending classes at Texas institutions of higher education must present proof of immunization for bacterial meningitis or present the appropriate exemption.
Where do I get vaccinated?
The meningococcal conjugate (MCV4) vaccination is the specific meningitis vaccine we require.
With support from
Dallas College Health Services, free meningitis vaccinations are offered in the Health Center at multiple Dallas College campuses during the
department's business hours.
Current students and incoming students who complete an application for admission to Dallas College are eligible for the free vaccine.
If you are under 18 years old, please bring a parent or guardian with you. It is essential students seeking vaccinations are encouraged to bring a copy of their most recent immunization records to the health center.
Students age 22 and older do not need to provide proof of immunization for meningitis.
